Made reservations at Salt and Stone for a busy Friday night leading into a long weekend. Parking despite the busy hour was relatively easy. We were greeted immediately upon arrival a few minutes before our reservation time. The hostess sat us after about a 5 minute wait and we were surprised by how large the place is. We were greeted at our table with a choice of sparkling or flat water. Moments later we received some warm bread and butter from the waiter. He gave us the specials for the night and provided some answers to our questions about drinks and meal options. The menu is seasonal and we settled on some appetizers and entrees. The steak tartare was very fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered some oysters on the half shell that were very good and properly shucked. No bits of shell. The Cesar salad was very good as well. Crispy, cool and fresh. The French onion soup was piping hot and my date really really enjoyed it. I had the shrimp and scallops tagliatelle. Why very good it needed a bit more salt for my taste. The drinks were amazing. I have looked forward to going to Salt and Stone and will come back in the future.

Stumbled onto this place... we were actually driving to a winery, saw it, and decided to u-turn to check it out. And I'm so glad we did! Once you enter it's far nicer than it is from the outside. There's a whole beautiful water oasis running through the outdoor eating area that really sets a peaceful, relaxing and happy mood. There's an indoor dining area as well which I just didn't happen to explore. The service was quick, and our server was helpful and pleasant. I ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl and it did not disappoint! It delivered on taste and presentation, and was a perfect medium sized portion. The price points are a little high, but it is located in the Napa area so it was to be expected. If I'm ever in that area again I'll be going back for sure... wayyy too many items on that menu I wanted to try! Pros: - service, speed and kindness of staff - ambiance of outdoor area - abundance of free parking Cons: - none

I love salt and stone! The inside is a little fancier but the outside, although still somewhat "sit down" is a bit more casual with a beautiful pond. The staff is always very accommodating and knowledgeable, when we were here it was a warm day but very cold in the shade and they were able to turn outside heaters on for us. My favorite is, of course their french onion soup and I love their oysters. All the food is great and quality, and the cocktails are delicious too! My friend who doesn't drink was with us and enjoyed their non alcoholic cocktail selection and drinks.

Eric was a wonderful server for myself and family! We came to celebrate Father's day and he just made our experience really pleasant. We started off with calamari and Mart'D Oysters and it was SO delicious! I highly recommended. I was a little disappointed with the truffle mac n'cheese because of the lack of tasting the truffle. As far as ambience, there's an option for indoor and outdoor dining. There are flies that will join you and buzz around while you enjoy your meal
